AdecoTech has developed Migration programs targeted for the small and medium business to help make it easier and as risk free as possible by using highly skilled Enterprise consultants along with using the right migration tools. Microsoft Small Business Migration Program:
Program Overview: AdecoTech is committed to helping the small to medium businesses succeed by defining an affordable migration program to meet the financial challenges today. We have been able to shrink a traditional NOS Directory and Messaging migration from months to a small handful of weeks. AdecoTech has been able to achieve this by refining our migration approach and in concert with our Enterprise migration skilled consultants along with using key migration tools. AdecoTech is confident that we can assure a risk free NOS Directory, Data and messaging migration to Microsoft Activity Directory and Exchange 2007.
The program is fixed fee and contains the effort to migrate the Directory objects, messaging objects and their workstations over to Microsoft’s Active Directory and Exchange 2007 environment. The source environments within scope of the program are as follows:
- Microsoft NT 4.0 to Active Directory (Windows 2000, 2003, 2008)
- Microsoft Active Directory to Microsoft Active Directory (Windows 2000, 2003, 2008)
- Lotus Notes to Exchange 2003/Exchange 2007
- Novell NDS to Active Directory (Windows 2003 and 2008)
- Novell Groupwise to Exchange 2003/Exhange 2007
- Microsoft Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003/Exchange 2007
- Microsoft Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2003/2007
Microsoft Small Exchange Business Migration Program:
Program Overview: Microsoft still has a large number of customers operating with Exchange 2003 and Exchange 5.5 who just cannot afford the time or risk to move to Exchange 2007. AdecoTech has built a program to help accelerate customer’s migration to Exchange 2007 using Quest’s Migration Manager for Exchange. Using AdecoTech’s proven methodology and in concert with our Enterprise skilled migration consultants and Quest’s Exchange migration tool, an end to end migration can be done in a matter of weeks, instead of months. AdecoTech is confident to assure a risk free migration to Exchange 2007.
The program is fixed fee and contains the effort to migrate the mailbox data, Calendar information and the Public Folder data along with updating the Exchange profiles with zero impact to the end users to Microsoft’s Exchange 2007.
Partner Migration Mentoring Program:
Program Overview: AdecoTech is committed to the regional and national partners as most of our customers to date are partners. The challenge we have seen to date is that partners are always asked to do more with less. It is very difficult for the partners to keep their consultants and architects skills current on the migration technology along the different migration tool vendors in the market . NOS Directory and Messaging Migrations are very complex with alot of moving components that are dependent on one or another. One slight mistake could cause devastating and disastrous results. To avoid the risk all together and to accelerate a partner’s knowledge, allow AdecoTech to assist and become a member of your project team to help define the migration plan, layout the migration tool infrastructure and to conduct a small handful of pilots to ensure all of the moving components are functioning as expected. Throughout this activity, AdecoTech is educating the partner on the migration process to be able to understand the behaviour of the migration tool in the production environment. If a partner remains focused throughout the execution of the program, the partner should be able to perform the production NOS Directory and Messaging migration on their own with very little assistance from AdecoTech.
Program Approach:
AdecoTech takes the following approach when mentoring partners through Domain Migration and Exchange migrations to Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange 2007:
- Discovery and Review current NOS Directory, Messaging and Data migration requirements and processes.
- Recommend the migration tool (if not purchased already) along with a recommended domain migration / messaging process.
- Architect and deploy the migration tool in production.
- Conduct a small number of alpha and beta production pilot migrations to ensure we receive the expected behaviour.
- Conduct a number of small production pilots to ensure the Migration Process and Migration Tool(s) are operating sufficiently and that Partner knows the process and tools.
- Partner should be educated on the Migration Process and the migration tool
- Defined level of remote support
The program is not fixed price and will be quoted based on the size and scope of the partner’s migration requirements.
